I wanted to create elegant wines respecting the diversity of their character: the common denominator among them is elegance, in harmony and in respect of their soil. The vines and their soil have specific needs, which must be interpreted and respected in order to obtain the best wines.

The core types of vines that grow at Podernuovo a Palazzone are Sangiovese, the most traditional expression of this region, Cabernet Sauvignon, Montepulciano and Merlot. Therra, is a blend of the grapes grown on the property and the specific blend changes with each harvest. The name Therra evokes the true flavours of the Tuscan soil.

Argirio is a Cabernet Franc whose name comes from “argilla” which translates into “clay soil”.

Sotirio, named for the great-great grandfather of Giovanni Bulgari, is a pure Sangiovese wine. The “grand cru” of the estate, it reflects the strong ties between the land, the vines and the men working them.

Nicoleo is a wine whose name comes from the two sons of Giovanni: Nico and Leone Bulgari. Two personality and two types of grape, Greghetto and Chardonnay, create the new white wine in Podernuovo.
